Faq's
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from any recognized University in a specific pattern, such as
10+2+3, 10+3+2, or 10+2+3 (after ITI or Diploma). Direct degrees from open universities without following
these patterns are not eligible.
The minimum age is 20 years, and the maximum age is 30 years as of 01.07.2025. Age relaxations apply for
certain categories like BC/MBC (32 years), SC/ST (35 years), and Ex-Servicemen (47 years).
A total of 1,299 vacancies are available: 933 for Sub-Inspectors (Taluk) and 366 for Sub-Inspectors (Armed
Reserve), distributed between men and women based on community and quota guidelines.
The selection process includes a Tamil Language Test, Main Written Examination, Physical Measurement Test
(PMT), Endurance Test (ET), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Viva-Voce, and Document Verification.
Applications can be submitted online through the TNUSRB official website. Register, fill out the form,
upload required documents, and pay the application fee (₹500 for one quota, ₹1,000 for both open and
departmental quotas).
