Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Must have proficiency in computers (Word Processing and Spreadsheets).
  • Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory/elective subject. Candidates who haven’t passed Punjabi at this level must clear it during probation.
Disqualification
  • Persons married to a spouse who is already alive (except as per personal law exemptions).
  • Any candidate found guilty of fraud or misrepresentation.

Exam Mode Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Exam Sections
  • Part 1 - Computer-Based Test (CBT) (60 Marks):
    • English Composition
    • General Knowledge
    • Objective type multiple-choice questions
    • Each question carries 1 mark
    • No negative marking
    • Duration: 1 hour
  • Part 2 - English Shorthand & Transcription Test:
    • Dictation speed: 80 WPM (Words Per Minute)
    • Transcription speed: 20 WPM
    • Maximum mistakes allowed: 8%
  • Part 3 - Spreadsheet Test (10 Marks):
    • Duration: 10 minutes
    • Qualifying Marks: 40% (4 out of 10)
    • Only candidates who qualify this test will have their shorthand test evaluated.
Final Merit List Criteria
  • Based only on performance in the English Shorthand & Transcription Test.
  • If two or more candidates have the same score, the older candidate will be given preference.
  • If the age is also the same, alphabetical order (A-Z) will determine ranking.
