    • Ex-Servicemen:
      • Maximum Age: 50 years for Unreserved Categories
      • Maximum Age: 55 years for Reserved Categories
Educational Qualification
  • Minimum: Pass in VIII Standard or its equivalent.
  • Maximum: XII Standard or its equivalent.
  • An undertaking must be provided confirming no higher qualifications beyond XII Standard.
Additional Eligibility
  • Applicants must provide valid certificates for any claims, including fee exemptions and age relaxations.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required for candidates currently employed in Government services.
  • Persons with benchmark disabilities can use scribes during examinations. Certificates are mandatory.

Selection Process

Common Written Examination
  • Total Marks: 65
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Two Parts:
    • Part-A: Tamil Eligibility Test (25 marks, Minimum Qualifying Marks: 10)
    • Part-B: Basic Knowledge Test (40 marks, Minimum Qualifying Marks: 10)
  • No negative marking
  • Marks from Part-A are qualifying only and will not be counted for final selection.
  • Only Part-B marks are considered for shortlisting candidates for the next stage.
Skill Test
  • Maximum Marks: 40
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 10
  • Tasks vary based on the post applied for:
    • Sweeper and Sanitary Worker: Skills in mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, water management, sweeping, sanitation, etc.
    • Gardener and Waterman: Skills in gardening, maintenance of gardening tools, tree trimming, preparation of flower beds and pits, water management, etc.
    • Watchman: Office maintenance and safety, maintaining entry/exit registers, patrolling, basic knowledge of security and fire safety.
Certificate Verification
  • Shortlisting Ratio:
    • If vacancies are 5 or more, candidates shortlisted at a ratio of 1:2.
    • If vacancies are fewer than 5, candidates shortlisted at a ratio of 1:3.
  • Marks for work experience:
    • 2 marks per year of work experience, subject to a maximum of 20 marks.
  • Certificates to be produced from authorized entities.
