Educational Qualifications
  • 10+2 with Mathematics & Physics, minimum 50% marks in aggregate
  • Three-year diploma in Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate
  • Two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics, 50% marks in aggregate

Selection Process

Stage Details
Stage I - INET Exam
  • Computer-based exam with 100 multiple-choice questions.
  • Bilingual question paper (Hindi and English).
  • Subjects: English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness.
  • Duration: 1 hour.
  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Stage II - Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  • Qualifying is mandatory.
  • Male standards: 1.6 km run in 6 min 30 sec, 20 squats, 15 push-ups, 15 sit-ups.
  • Female standards: 1.6 km run in 8 min, 15 squats, 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups.
Stage II - Written Exam
  • Conducted for candidates who qualify the PFT.
  • 100 multiple-choice questions (subjects same as INET).
  • Duration: 1 hour.
  • Passing marks determined by the Indian Navy.
Stage II - Recruitment Medical Examination
  • Conducted by military doctors as per regulations.
  • Medically fit candidates are shortlisted for the final merit list.
  • Review is allowed if found unfit, but only at designated military hospitals.
Provisional Select List
  • Prepared based on performance in the written exam, PFT, and medical examination.
  • State-wise merit list published on candidate dashboards.
Pre-Enrolment Medicals
  • Conducted at INS Chilka for selected candidates.
  • Qualification is mandatory for final induction.
