Eligibility for Stenographers under Central Government |
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) With ten years' regular service in Pay Level-4 in the Pay Matrix (₹25,500–₹81,100) or equivalent. |
Exclusions |
- Departmental officers in the feeder category in direct line of promotion. - Deputationists are not eligible for promotion-based appointments. - Officials already working as Stenographer Grade-I in the Income Tax Department. - Stenographer Grade-II officials in the Income Tax Department (feeder cadre). |
Maximum Age Limit | Should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of application submission. |
Duration of Deputation | Not exceeding 3 years, including any preceding ex-cadre deputation period. |
Vigilance Clearance |
No vigilance/disciplinary proceedings should be pending or contemplated. No minor/major penalty imposed during the last 5 years. |
