Selection Process

ECIL Recruitment for Graduate Engineer Trainee & Technician (Grade II) - Selection Process

Stage	Description
Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)	Conducted in multiple cities: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata. Duration: 120 minutes.
Stage 2: Shortlisting for Interview/Trade Test	Candidates shortlisted in 1:4 ratio based on CBT performance. If multiple candidates score the same marks, higher qualification marks are considered.
Stage 3: Personal Interview (GET) / Trade Test (Technician)	GET candidates attend a Personal Interview. Technician candidates undergo a Trade Test. Conducted at Hyderabad. Participation only after successful Document Verification.
Stage 4: Final Selection & Merit List	Weightage: 85% CBT + 15% Interview/Trade Test. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% per stage and 60% overall. Relaxations provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per norms. Final merit list published on ECIL website.
