Stage	Description
1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)	- Screening test with 100 objective-type questions. - Covers Mathematics, General Awareness, General Science, Logical Reasoning, and Railways/DFCCIL knowledge. - Duration: 90 minutes. - Negative marking: 1/4th for each incorrect answer.
2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)	- Advanced test with 120 objective-type questions. - Focuses on technical/domain-specific knowledge. - Duration: 120 minutes. - Negative marking: 1/4th for each incorrect answer.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)	- Only applicable for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). - Male: Lift and carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes; run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds. - Female: Lift and carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes; run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
Document Verification	- Verification of educational qualifications, experience certificates, and other relevant documents. - Ensures authenticity and eligibility.
Medical Examination	- Ensures candidates meet the prescribed medical standards for their respective posts. - Conducted as per Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM).

2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)	- 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). - Duration: 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwBD candidates with a scribe). - Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer. - Syllabus varies by post: - Junior Manager (Finance): Accounting, Financial Management, Tax Laws, etc. - Executive (Civil): Structural Analysis, Soil Mechanics, Surveying, etc. - Executive (Electrical): Power Systems, Circuit Analysis, Control Systems, etc. - Executive (Signal & Telecommunication): Electronics, Communication Systems, Microprocessors, etc. - MTS: General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, etc.
