Eligiblity Criteria

Educational Qualification	Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board for skilled trades such as Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Washerman, Tailor, etc. Industrial Training Institute (ITI) trained personnel will be given preference. For Sweeper (unskilled trades): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board is required. Educational certificates other than those from a State or Central Board must be accompanied by a Government of India notification stating equivalence to Matriculation/10th pass.
Age Limit	Between 18 to 23 years as of 01/08/2025. Born no earlier than 02/08/2002 and no later than 01/08/2007. Permissible age relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years OBC: 3 years Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service period. Victims of 1984 and 2002 riots: Up to 5 years for UR/EWS, 8 years for OBC, and 10 years for SC/ST.
Nationality	Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Physical Standards (Male)	Height: 170 cm (Relaxation applicable for specific categories). Chest: 80-85 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion).
Physical Standards (Female)	Height: 157 cm (Relaxation applicable for specific categories). Chest: Not applicable.
Medical Standards	Must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes. Should possess high color vision and be in good mental and bodily health. Tattoos are permitted under specific conditions (e.g., content, size, and location).

Selection Process

Stage	Description
Height Bar Test (HBT)	Initial stage to ensure candidates meet the minimum height requirements as per eligibility criteria.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)	Male Candidates: 1.6 km race in 6 minutes 30 seconds. Female Candidates: 800 m race in 4 minutes. This stage is qualifying in nature.
Physical Standards Test (PST)	Screening of height, chest (for males), and weight by an authorized board of officers to ensure physical standards are met. Relaxations apply as per government rules.
Documentation	Verification of all required original documents, such as educational certificates, domicile certificates, caste certificates, and identity proofs.
Trade Test	Practical assessment of trade-specific skills, such as cooking, tailoring, carpentry, etc., for the respective posts. This test is qualifying in nature.
Written Examination	Objective type questions (OMR/CBT Mode). Duration: 2 hours. Subjects: General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, English/Hindi language. Qualifying Marks: 35% for UR/EWS/ESM, 33% for SC/ST/OBC.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME)	Medical examination conducted to assess physical and medical fitness as per CAPFs guidelines. Candidates declared "Unfit" may opt for a Review Medical Examination (RME).
Final Merit List	Merit list prepared Recruitment Sector-wise, Trade-wise, and Category-wise based on marks obtained in the written examination.

Click on "New Registration" to begin the One-Time Registration process.
Fill out the basic details such as name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, and other personal information as per your Matriculation certificate.
Provide your active mobile number and email address for further communication.
Complete the declaration and submit your registration form to receive a unique Registration ID and password via SMS and email.
Log in using the provided Registration ID and password, then click on "CONSTABLE/TRADESMAN-2024" to access the application form.
Fill in the remaining details in the application form, such as educational qualification, address, and other relevant information.
Upload the required documents, including:
- Scanned passport-size photograph (20 KB to 50 KB, with date of photo clearly printed).
- Scanned signature (10 KB to 20 KB).
- PDF copies of age proof, educational certificates, and domicile certificate (not exceeding 1 MB).
If applicable, pay the application fee of ₹100 via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or cash payment at SBI branches (using the generated SBI Challan).
Submit the form after verifying all details. Incorrect or incomplete submissions cannot be edited later.
Print the application form for your records. You will need to present it at the time of PET/PST, documentation, or trade test.

Faq's

The selection process includes Height Bar Test (HBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standards Test (PST), Documentation, Trade Test, Written Examination (OMR/CBT), and a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

You can apply online at the official CISF recruitment website: https://cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in. Follow the steps for One-Time Registration and complete the application form with your details and required documents.

The application fee is ₹100 for UR, OBC, and EWS candidates. Female candidates, SC/ST candidates, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the fee.

For male candidates: Height - 170 cm, Chest - 80-85 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm). For female candidates: Height - 157 cm. Relaxations are available for certain categories as per government rules.

The written exam consists of 100 objective-type questions on General Awareness, Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, and Hindi/English Language. It has a duration of 2 hours and no negative marking.
