Eligiblity Critera

Nationality The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit - Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 38 years (as of 01.01.2024)
- Age relaxation:
    - SC/ST: 5 years
    - OBC/MOBC: 3 years
    - PwBD: 10 years
    - Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC categories).
Educational Qualification The candidate must hold a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification as recognized by the Government.
Language Proficiency The candidate should be able to speak Assamese or any other official/associate official language or tribal language of the state.
Employment Registration The candidate must be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
Original Inhabitant The candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
Additional Requirements - Ex-Servicemen must submit an identity card issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office and a discharge book.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities must ascertain the posts they are eligible for and apply accordingly.
- Candidates must adhere to the "Small Family Norms" as per the government notification.

Selection Process

Stage Description
Preliminary Examination - Objective Type with Multiple-Choice Questions.
- Two papers (General Studies I and General Studies II), each of 200 marks, duration: 2 hours.
- General Studies II is qualifying in nature (minimum 33% marks).
- Negative marking: 1/4th of the total marks per incorrect answer.
- Screening Test for Main Examination; marks not counted for final merit.
Main Examination
  • Written Examination: Six papers (one essay and five General Studies papers), each worth 250 marks.
  • Total marks for written exam: 1500.
  • Interview/Personality Test: Conducted for candidates who qualify the written examination (180 marks).
  • Final Merit List: Based on written exam and interview marks (total: 1680).
Document Verification - Original documents must be presented during the interview stage.
- Verification ensures eligibility compliance.
Final Selection - Based on merit ranking and preferences submitted during the application process.
- Candidates are allotted services/posts adhering to reservation policies.

How to Apply

  • Step 1: Visit the official website apscrecruitment.in.
  • Step 2: Register with a valid email ID and mobile number. Complete the profile creation process by submitting relevant details and supporting documents.
  • Step 3: Log in to the system and apply for CCE by navigating to Applicant Section → Apply Section in the dashboard.
  • Step 4: Fill in all mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*), and upload required documents in PDF format (maximum file size: 2 MB).
  • Step 5: Preview the details entered and click 'Submit' for final submission or 'Cancel' for corrections before submitting.
  • Step 6: Pay the application fee online using the payment gateway provided.
  • Step 7: Receive an auto-generated email and SMS confirming successful submission and payment.
  • Step 8: If the payment status is pending, click the 'Validate Payment' button after 15-30 minutes to verify the payment status.
  • Step 9: Submit only one application. If multiple applications are submitted, the last application will be considered.

Faq's

Applicants need to apply online through APSC Recruitment Portal. Register, create a profile, fill the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the application fee. Detailed instructions can be found in the advertisement.

Candidates must be Indian citizens aged between 21 and 38 years (age relaxation available for reserved categories). Educational qualifications include a degree from a recognized university. Additional requirements include language proficiency and registration in a District Employment Office of Assam.

The exam consists of two stages:
  • Preliminary Examination: Two objective papers (General Studies I and II).
  • Main Examination: Six written papers and an interview/personality test.

  • Online application starts: 28th March 2025 (12:00 Noon).
