  • 12th Pass (Regular Study).
Driving License
  • Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License; OR
  • Valid Medium Vehicle License (issued at least 1 year before 01/11/2024); OR
  • Valid Light Motor Vehicle License (issued at least 2 years before 01/11/2024).

Note: Heavy Duty Driving License must be acquired within 1 year of appointment.

Selection Process

Stage Details
Stage 1: Written Examination
  • Computer-Based Test (CBT), Duration: 2 hours.
  • Part A: 50% questions related to educational qualifications.
  • Part B: 50% questions on General Knowledge, Intelligence, Aptitude, English, etc.
  • Minimum Pass Marks:
    • UR/EWS/OBC: 50 out of 100.
    • SC/ST: 40 out of 100.
Stage 2: Document Verification & Medical Examination
  • Verification of original documents submitted during the application process.
  • Medical Examination including Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
Stage 3: Driving Test Practical driving test for candidates holding valid Light, Medium, or Heavy Vehicle Licenses.
Stage 4: Physical Endurance Test (PET)
  • Events like 100m Running, Casualty Carrying Test, Pole Climbing, Rope Climbing, and Ladder Climbing & Descending.
  • Each test carries a maximum of 20 marks, and a total score of at least 60 out of 100 is required to qualify.
Stage 5: Final Merit List Based solely on marks obtained in the Written Examination (CBT).
Stage 6: Basic Training Course (BTC)
  • Duration: 18 weeks, including 2 weeks of Heavy Duty Vehicle maintenance and driving training.
  • Stipend during training: ₹25,000 per month.
  • Training completion is mandatory for appointment.

Faq's

Candidates must have either a 10th Pass + 3 years approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Fire, or 12th Pass (Regular Study). A valid Heavy, Medium, or Light Vehicle Driving License is also required.
